National Constitution Center “Freedom Rising”

Philadelphia, PA

The National Constitution Center, a 160,000 square foot museum dedicated to increasing understanding of the U.S. Constitution, opened in 2003.  “Freedom Rising,” its award-winning showcase presentation.

This stunning combination of media technology and theatrical techniques with a live narrator creates a transformational experience that is immersive, dramatic, informative and ultimately inspirational. The Freedom Rising Show at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia powerfully transforms The Constitution into a personally relevant force. The fast paced, multi-media show combines 360º video projection, surprising theatrical scenic projections (by Jerome Sirlin), and a live narrator to bring the story of the constitution to life in a way that has never been done before.

In this uniquely designed theatre when the narrator declares that the future of the American experiment “depends on you…. and you…. and you,” she has the ability to make direct eye contact with many people at once. The result: a genuinely immersive environment in which the audience can see themselves as a force in the life of the Constitution and the Constitution as an ongoing force in all our lives.
