The Stanford Centennial Stadium Spectacular featured world-renowned celebrities, including Ted Koppel as master of ceremonies, and presented a historic pageant, dramatizing the story of Stanford University with the aid of innovative staging that included three 40-foot video screens, laser and light technology, and fireworks. With performances by Joan Baez, Anna Chavez, The Doobie Brothers, Michael Feinstein, James Galway, Whoopi Goldberg, Edwin Hawkins, Hiroshima, Ted Koppel, Bobby McFerrin, and many other special guest appearances.
