Laguna Seca Raceway, Monterey, CA

When Porsche North America celebrated its 50th anniversary at the famous Laguna Seca Raceway during the Monterey Historic Automobile Races. A section of the infield was developed into a massive paddock display. It was designed as a tribute to the race car company’s first 50 years. In this paddock were 23 vintage Porsches air-freighted from the Porsche AG Museum in Stuttgart. Hundreds of Porsche owner cars were also displayed around the perimeter. The paddock display also served as the site of the anniversary celebration’s gala dinner, for 500 people described as “a magical evening… and one where we are not likely ever to see such a gathering of Porsche cars and Porsche people again”
